IRS E-Filing System Turns 25
The IRS e-filing system is 25 years old now and more than seventy percent of all returns now are filed electronically.
While the majority of electronically filed returns are submitted by professional tax preparers, the number of individuals using e-file on their own has also risen steadily, as the chart below shows. Last year, about 34.7 million do-it-yourselfers filed this way, representing about 35 percent of electronic returns.

MSI 890FXA-GD65 AM3 Motherboard Review
With LGA1155 boards being all the rage, it's easy to forget about those who are using the AM3 platform. We rectify that by taking a long [H]ard look at the MSI 890FXA-GD65. A simple and very basic design that makes up for its lack of features in many ways. For around $130 it may be just what the OC Genie ordered.

Rick-Rolled By Politicians
It always uncomfortable watching politicians trying to be cool. At least they didn't waste tax dollars on this and, at least for this video, they worked together for a change.

Cooler Master Storm Enforcer
Overclockers Club posted a review of the Cooler Master Storm Enforcer mid-tower case today for those of you interested. The OCC crew gave the case high marks, here's a quote from the review:
The case itself is a small mid tower with a side panel window that takes up about half of the side panel itself. There are only two fans provided from the factory, and that is one 200mm front intake and one 120mm rear exhaust. There is room for two 120mm fans up top or a single 200mm up top.

When David Hayden's team won the U.S. Imagine Cup's prestigious category Monday, it was a victory for him as a student with low vision, and for all students with reduced vision across the world. Guy That Claims He Owns Half Of Facebook Submits More "Proof"
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say this guy's evidence is fake. Having said that, I will laugh my ass off if this guy gets a huge pay day out of this.
They discuss how Ceglia will fund the project. They discuss how Ceglia has funded the project (proof of payment). They discuss how Zuckerberg has met some upperclassmen--the Winklevosses, presumably--who are pursuing a similar project, and how Zuckerberg is "stalling" them. They discuss how Zuckerberg has failed to complete the "face book" project on time. They discuss the launch of the face book, which Ceglia agrees looks great.

Dragon Age: Origins DLC Authentication Servers Still Down
The good news: Bioware has finally acknowledged that its Dragon Age: Origins authentication servers are down. The bad news: Not until days after the outage started and they still aren't fixed. The worst news: It's a single player game. Thanks to balthan for the link.
Over the April 9, 2011 weekend, some of our Dragon Age: Origins content servers experienced an as yet unidentified failure. As a result, users began to experience error messages when attempting to access their downloadable content, indicating that the DLC was unauthorized. We apologize for the inconvenience and are currently investigating and working to resolve the issue on our end. We will update this thread once we know more.

New Twist On An Old Craigslist Scam
You know the old "I'll mail a check, you forward the extra to the shippers" scam? They are now using it on people looking for work.

ASUS N53 Core i7-2630QM Sandy Bridge 15" Notebook
PC Perspective has posted a review of the 15" ASUS N53 Core i7-2630QM notebook today. Here's a snippet from the full review:
There are a few rough edges. The display of the N53 is quite poor for a laptop of this price, and the squishy keyboard is a nasty oversight in a laptop with an otherwise luxurious finish. However, these problems are tolerable considering this laptop's performance. The ASUS N53 is a hardware powerhouse; indeed, it's a testament to the fact that computer processors – quick though they may be – still have significant room for improvement in the future, and those improvements will positively impact the quality of the computer you receive for your money."
